Yelin Kim is a multidisciplinary graphic designer with a background in fine arts, drawing, and illustration. Born in Korea and raised in LA, she is now based in NYC and LA. Her practice is shaped by an interest in culture, social structures, and the ways people behave and interact. With a focus on branding, storytelling, and systems thinking, she uses research and observation to create work that feels relevant to the people it speaks to.

 

She approaches design like weaving: gathering ideas, cultural references, narratives, and visual elements as individual threads, then interlocking them into a larger system. Her illustration background brings a strong sense of image-making and storytelling to a practice that spans identity, print, digital, and spatial experiences.

​Outside of design, she loves to walk around the city, collect zines, printed matter, and song lyrics, or stop for sweets and cafe drinks along the way.​
