Kkokka Tea

Overview

Traditional practices often become difficult to sustain when they no longer fit into modern routines. Inspired by the craftsmanship and cultural significance of Korean flower teas, I created Kkokka, a contemporary tea brand that makes traditional tea-making more approachable and accessible. By balancing cultural heritage with modern convenience, the brand reimagines how younger audiences can engage with Korean tea culture.

To bring this vision to life, I developed the brand identity, created a custom illustration and pattern system inspired by Korean flora, designed the packaging, and developed a portable tea brewer that supports a more seamless tea experience.

Logo Development

To emphasize Kkokka's Korean heritage while appealing to a contemporary audience, I developed the primary logo as a handwritten rendering of the Korean word 꽃과 ("with flower") in a calligraphic style. This approach celebrates the beauty of Korean typography while introducing fluid, modern strokes that evoke the flow of tea, resulting in a visual identity that balances tradition with a fresh, globally relevant aesthetic.
